As a teen crisis specialist, I get the opportunity to work with Native American adolescents on a reservation with Lakota Sioux children in South Dakota. Unfortunately, many of the older children and middle school students already struggle with the generational pull of despair and hopelessness. Most struggle to read. And there is s cynicism toward the “white man’s Gospel”.  Kingstone resources, I believe, will be a tremendous asset for capturing the imagination of these precious native children and adolescents.

So, is Kingstone the Marvel of Christian comics? It depends what you mean by that. If you mean, are they the best Christian comics on the market? Absolutely.  If you mean, are they as good as Marvel Comics? For such a small, unheard of studio they have shockingly great material. But let’s be honest, there’s only one Marvel Comics and Kingstone still ain’t them. Nonetheless they are worth a purchase and I think you’ll find a lot to enjoy.
